What is a Munro? A Munro is a mountain in Scotland over 3,000 feet (914.4 metres). They are named after Sir Hugh Munro, who produced the first list in 1891. Completing all 282 Munros is known as “Munro bagging”.

Cairngorm Munros

The main Cairngorm peaks accessible from Aviemore and the surrounding area include some of the most iconic mountains in Scotland. The Cairngorm plateau, mostly above 4,000ft, is one of the most spectacular and challenging mountain environments in the British Isles.
